We are looking for a motivated breeder, who will be working on tomato and will be based at our Shouguang farm in Shandong. Job description Conduct all operational activities related to the breeding of tomato varieties in China. Job tasks:Collect breeding material and germplasm.Advise and discuss about field trial locations, contribute to management of trials, contacts with farm manager.Design and setup of breeding trials.Conduct the total tomato breeding program, including selection of crosses and breeding lines.Build up knowledge about breeding material in relation to the markets.Collect and analyze breeding data from field trials.Quality and purity control of parental lines and hybrids.other activities associated with this position Communication skills:·         English language in speaking, writing and reading is required.·         Capable to present and discuss results with colleagues. Qualifications: Master or PhD degree in plant breeding.At least 5 years experience in a similar position in the seed industry.Knowledge and interest in plant pathology and horticultural science preferable.Creative and dedicated to quality in all aspects of your work.Able to collect and analyze breeding data with standard computer hard- and software.Keep in touch of recent developments related to your job by literature, attending congresses.Willingness to travel frequently. Depending of your skills and experience you will receive an attractive salary package.If you are interested in this job, please email your English solicitation letter and resume before April 31st, 2016 to: jobs@bejo.cn
